Sportopia was a dynamic coding competition with three exciting rounds that took place on November 4 2023. In the first round, three-person teams had to solve 18 issues involving basketball-themed code in 30 to 45 minutes without the use of the internet. In Round 2, a laptop Relay Race was implemented, necessitating nonverbal communication among partners as they handed the code forward. The last round featured a 1v1 coding competition with chess-inspired pairings decided by the organizers and a hierarchical elimination system. With awards given to the top three finishers, Sportopia is a special combination of strategic teamwork and coding expertise.
